Sr. Kathleen has served as Executive Director of St. John Center since it opened in 1986. From 1968 until she opened the Center, Sr. Kathleen worked in the housing and human services departments of the City of Louisville. She was awarded an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree from Bellarmine University in 2005.
Sister Kathleen rises before dawn so she can get to the Center and make sure everything is ready for the 7 a.m. opening. She remains very involved in every aspect of the day-to-day operation of the nonprofit entity. Sister Sheehan knows the great majority of St. John Center guests by name. |
