Hit a home run for St. John Center and join Hall-of-Famer Fergie Jenkins

The BaseBall – a night of food and fun at Louisville Slugger Field

Silent auction and cash bar open at 6 o’clock

Upscale Ballpark Buffet opens at 7 o’clock

Music by The Jody Jones Trio

Baseball Hall-of-Famer Fergie Jenkins will join hundreds of St. John Center supporters on Saturday, October 20, at Louisville Slugger Field for the 4th annual BaseBall.  Jenkins’ commitment indicates that momentum for the event is growing, as word has spread that this unique event is loads of fun while raising much-needed funds for St. John Center.

While Fergie may be best known for his career with the Cubs, earning more strike-outs than any other pitcher in Cubs history with 2,038, he has a heart for helping others.  We are thrilled that he is lending his name and support of his Foundation to the BaseBall.

Exciting silent auction items already coming in

A student art contest, a brand new event to complement the BaseBall, generated some beautiful entries exploring the theme ‘homelessness and hope.’  Winning entries will be framed and sold at the auction, and winning artists will each receive a savings bond donated by Chuck Hendrix and Raymond Fehr.

From a lawn-care product donated by Brinly-Hardy Co. to handmade jewelry by Remembrance Porcelain, original art by Gale Williamson, and sports momentos, the auction will feature an array of interesting and unique items.  Stay tuned for new item descriptions at www.stjohncenter.org.
